Total Loss Value per MD state law is 75% of 3k.

obviously total loss is not an desirable outcome.

at 2.5k the value comes to 65%. However, if the adjuster sees that there may be other damages they can total the car ahead of time.

What do you guys think? gamble for hte 500, for just fed it and deal with it? cause obviously 500 is not going to cover my registration, inspection and buying back my e30 if its totaled. But on the other hand, the damage is so clear that I cant see how they can 'justified' future claim by body shop if any.

I got about 30 min to make this decision so make it quick.

hahaha look, it was a joke. Car is getting fixed, it should be done tmr. I got the best case scenario, with the most amount they are willing to fork out. I'm still 600 shy of totalling it.

Why exactly is totaling the car bad? EG if your car is worth 4k. they say theres 3k worth of damage. It's totaled. They cut you a check for 4k. Buy the car back for $500, fix car, prove to insurance it's insurable. Done.

It happened to my track E30. No salvage title, nothing.
