Verve Motorsports Meet, dyno, and food near philly

UPDATE! New meet this sunday. It's going to be a lot of 240sx guys but bmws are encouraged to come along as well. INFO Here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=143140342368376

I'm trying to get together a meet at a local tuner shop that set up my turbo E30 vert. Verve Motorsports

He said it'd be cool if we met at his shop and he can run dyno pulls for $50/car and you get 5 pulls. I'll be there with Das Boost, and my buddy's boosted e34 535i might be finished as well. Since it's publicity for the shop he said he can supply food.

as an aspiring chef i'll be catering the meet so let me know what kind of food you guys want.

Let me know when's a good day and we'll try to work it out.

we can go for a cruise through Fort Washington or on Lincoln drive. nice tight turns usually no cops.

I wanna do this soon since my car is running great for now...

oh yeah it's out in fort Washington pa 19034

I'll have my DSLR with various lenses and be taking pictures of cars for people(free!)

I'm usually on E30tech, but I figured I'd post on a few forums to try to get a good bmw turn out.

    ** time and date**

The meet will most likely be on friday and possible saturday(if it works for more ppl) of one of the weekends in the poll options at the top. you can choose multiple weekends. Meet will be 5pm-5am most likely. we can start it earlier if that's the census. PM me or post if saturday is better and if 5pm is too late to start.

$50 for 5 pulls is a great price.

yeah it's nuts. he usually says as many pulls until he gets annoyed but if there are a lotta people it'll probly be like 5 MAYBE 4. either way though, it's cheap. he's got the only Eddy Current dyno in the area so he can do partial throttle tuning on his dyno.

something important I forgot was the address.

              Verve Motorsports is located at
              430 Virginia Dr
              Fort Washington Pa, 19034

Sounds like fun, never heard of the place though. I think I might be able to make it if it's on a Saturday. Plus, traffic on 76 is ridiculous on a Friday afternoon. Is this just a bmw thing or all are welcome?

Everyone is welcomed. I've only posted on bmw forums, but a bunch of people have asked about other cars and people. so bring evryone you want, the more the merrier(or whatever car you want). as far as the rdie goes, where in philly are you? I'm in university city area, and i take west river driver to lincoln drive, and there's usually not much traffic...and it's a fun drive.

based on the 4 forums i posted on, it looks like the weekend of may 21st is best. for those who can make it, would friday or saturday work better for you?

Cool. I think I might drop by with a friend. What kind of shop is Verve Motorsports? Do they specialize in anything?

I guess you could call it a drifter's speed shop. he does anything high performance, be it suspension exhaust or engine work. they do turbo rebuilds, tuning, a decent amount of custom fabrication.

The Drifter Reese Marin's car is at the shop usually. a good deal of 240sx's since it's a pretty generic drift car. I got him hooked on e30's since they're like a 240, but handle better and make sick power, and are better made. on any given day i'm rocking between 13-22psi of boost on my m20b25. he did the install, the tune which keeps it from blowing up at a ridiculous amount of power for the stock motor. fabricated my custom exhaust, and helped with any fabrication I needed.

its a true tuner shop, and not a "ricer type", they care about making sure your 21 year old car can break the end loose and start fishtailing while going 110mph in 5th gear...and honestly they probably have the lowest prices for the kind of work they do, let alone the quality that comes with it.

they also do keyless entry, and alarms and stuff. there's a tint guy there sometimes, it's a separate company though. I think a friend's

I was looking for tuning down around the dc area, for an m20b28, on motronics. Maybe it might be worth the drive up...

yeah, come on up. not sure what he can do about motronics, but he's pretty damn good with software and engine management so it's worth asking. either way, you should stop by it seems like this might be a good sized meet.
