    e30 insurance

I just insured the e30 that I bought and to my suprise it's more than my e46. My e46 330i is around 450 for 6 months and the e30 is 580. Why is the e30 in a higher liability/rating than the e46? It's cheaper, less powerful, older, etc. I dont get it. I have an '89 325i.

maybe more teens drive e30s and get in more accidents and thus raise the rates for e30s.

Depends on your age, state and history. I was only paying 300 or so every 6 months ($52/mo). Granted I'm 25 with no accidents or tickets for the past 7 years.....up until this past weekend that is....

im guessing the e46 has more safety features than the e30 so your less likely to get hurt in similar accidents??

          Is the e46 a 4 door and the e30 a 2 door?

120/month, liability . Perfect record. 25 years old. 2 door/vert and zip code is what kills it for me

I got them to take off the part of the insurance that gives you money for getting hurt by showing them proof of health insurance.(for both cars) This was around $100 less.

                          Yes, liability only.

I know my insurance is going to be a lot more than what you guys are saying yours is because im in my early 20s and have had some tickets. That doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is the cost to insure my e30 vs my e46. I thought the e30 would be much cheaper.

its the 4 door vs 2 door deal. sedans are cheaper. also the e46 is a safer car. less medical expenditures.
