and that bbq looked like it was alot of fun!
Thanks, it's a lot of fun. We started with 12 cars the first year and this past spring we had almost 30! I's groing and I'm doing what I can to get as many people out as possible.

As far as drives are concerned, Deep Creek Lake and Skyline are obvious choices. There are tons of roads out around luray caverns. Ubernasty showed us some nice roads up in the Baltimore area but I don't know them that well.

Hey Vinnie! No e30 yet. I'm getting a parts car in two weeks to strip for suspension and tranny. I have 3.5 engines in my house right now. The overall project is pretty well laid out. I'm still stuck on whether to do a 5lug swap or not. I'm mostly concerned about caster issues. so the project goes like this:

    Engine:
    2.7 crank
    Lightened eta rods
    Maxsil .5mm OverBore Pistons
    Rebuilt I head
    Ebay headers

The plan is to go with a bottom mount TCD turbo setup after the car is up and running.

    Chassis:
    Early model
    Mtech1 kit
Bolt in or Custom 4point roll cage
    Corbeau TRS seats

    Suspension:
    Primarily stock bushings all around
    Poly Rear Subframe Bushings
GC Coilover conversion for 4lug setup
    RX7 Calipers for 4lug

GC e36 "Bastard kit" for 5lug
    BBK from Massive
    e36 96+ M Control Arms
    Treehouse Eyeball CABs

    Wheels:
    ACS type 2 17x8.5 for 5lug
    Azev Type A 17x8 for 4lug

Because my travel schedule is so busy over the next few months will my opera auditions, the plan is to finish the engine rebuild by december and get started on the suspension in January. That way, by the time March rolls around I can start shopping for a chassis and bolt everything up.

It's a long process but I'm patient and opera comes first. I'm also starting a new company so most of my time and money is wrapped up in my two careers.

    - Sorry for the thread jack dnick!

I'm Brody - I hold an annual e30 bbq event in the spring for the DMV and and co-founder of the College Park Weekly meets. I also helped organize the drive up to GutenFest '11 with the CP, Baltimore and Philly crews.

I pretty much handle the big e30 events in the md area. I've had some ideas for putting together a big fall drive but my schedule is packed between auditions and my two companies.

here are threads to this years bbq event:

You can also look into using the e32 hydroboost system which will give you a stiffer pedal for the power. Are you going to be running bigger brakes or at least rx7 calipers?

Nick, when you get everything mapped out and time and dates set in stone, let me know. i can help organize and send out PM blasts to everyone in the area. I'm sure some of the VA group might want to get into it and I'm sure we'll corral the CP group to come up! Let me know if you need any help.
