I'm not really sure on the details you'll have to look into it more.
As far as I can tell its not new enough to have that, only the s62's can you encounter that. Im feeling pretty confident right now. Gonna be a lot of work, but come on, thats half the fun!

All I know is the wiring is fairly simple. And actually, so is the booster. Just weld mounting bracket to put it behind the left headlights, then create a longer arm to reach it. They even give all the measurements for the arm length!

The harness electronics will be the hardest part. Does it have EWS or is the engine before bmw started doing that? A lot of figuring shit out ahead of you..
The what? EWS? haha. Ive got a damn good documented build thread. I already Know that they have a quite simple wiring conversion thing, so I'm actually not too worried about that.
So to answer your question, I do have some good info so far. Plus theres a guy about an hour from here who's done the swap, so that will help :o

Sometimes it seems fairly easy, sometimes insanely hard. A few things I'm concerned about...

    1. Selling enough stuff to afford various small, new parts.

    2. Finding/ making the brake booster work.

So far I know I need...

    1. e34 booster
    2. Make mounts
    3. Find transmission
    4. M20 driveshaft
    5. New engine/ trans mounts?
    6. Profit with new 4.4L v8 e30??

Luckily the engine is pretty low miles, and Joe's giving it to me for a great price.

I know I'm giving spencer my old m42, and he's buying some other stuff. But right now I have a Dinan chip for sale, a 5spd trans, m42 driveshaft and a 4.10 diff for sale. I'll be making a for sale listing soon, but just throwing it out there. Need to sell that stuff to get money to complete this swap. I want to have all the stuff I need, plus the motor mounts made by the time I have 2 weeks off for winter vacation, then just knock it all out then.

edit: Is it possible to convert an m62 to OBD1 like the 24v swaps? I don't see why it wouldn't be possible since the first m6x engine was OBD1 if I recall correctly.

    Just a play on letters.

If you guys want some extra hands on anything let me know. I'm trying to get more involved and meet people after just moving to the area recently.
