Well I'm doing a v8, just not this. I have to be realistic, I'm 17. The maintenance costs alone on the engine would kill me. The insane cost of mounts, a transmission, custom driveshaft, exhaust and the headaches of wiring conversions are not happening before I leave for college. Im going for a simpler swap, that I can have done quickly.

5.0 can be a very cheap swap. you're still going to need a custom driveshaft and sort out the transmission though.

32v swap into the zinno? lololol.

dude stick with a bmw engine.
putting a ford engine in your bmw is gay as hell regardless of how much power it can make. not to mention the added weight

True, but I have somebody who can do the ds, and what about the trans? Cheap as hell haha. But do it! I really want somebody local to take this on.

Nah, a 32v swap would be SICK, there is no doubt about that. I just don't have the time or money to do so. And added weight? It weighs not much more than an m20, and with aluminum heads it weighs less. The only thing "gay" is how the 5.0 looks in the engine bay Still sad I can't do a 32v swap though...

C'mon! $700! Ecu, flywheel and everything! Even the headers and rad.

If I can find the money, I'd love to do a carb. The problem is either finding a cheap used one, or one at the junkyard that I can rebuild. I've always wanted a carb'd engine and it makes the wiring MUCH easier.
