So, I ruined the e30/early bmw meet at rose's...

Apparently myself and a few other e30 owners parked in handicapped spots at roses Saturday afternoon. I didn't take notice due to the excitement/raging boner from all the awesome e30's already there. When the tow truck pulled up in front of my car I overheard him tell a young woman he was here to tow this car(pointing directly at my car). I calmly shit my pants finally noticing the stick figure painted on the asphalt below my car. I hopped in and drove away "swiftly" before any action was taken. Returning 20 or so minutes later 90% of the lot was empty. So yeah, I'm an idiot. New to e30's, first year at h20 in my e30, stoked about the meet for two weeks I killed it. So in short, sorry to everyone who attended. I guess I'll buy you a beer next year or something. :stupid:

Relax lol, you didn't ruin the e30 meet single handedly. The cops blamed it on people littering from what I heard. Some poor guy in a silver MkIV golf got his car towed for no reason.

No worries man, we heard it was cancelled but showed up anyways. Cops showed up about an hour later. When the tow truck made it's way to the front line where we were parked we bounced.

Yea I saw the cops parked off to the side when I pulled up. They left shortly after so I figured it was a good sign. 10 minutes later they came back with the tow truck. When I heard he was gonna tow my car I left so quickly I almost left my buddy behind lol. I heard about that mkiv I guess they were looking for a scapegoat. Not surprising from ocpd. I was pulled over as soon as I got in to oc for wearing headphones(damn e30 radio). That's apparently grounds for a vehicle search as well. Gotta love em

I arrived like 15 min early to be told it was moved to 115th st, so I make my way up there just to get a call saying it was moved back to 94th. took us just under an hr to get out of 115th, just in time to park and watch said silver golf being towed.

Did you have the blue e30 closest to the super fresh? My buddy was parked the next spot in with his Delphin sedan and when the tow truck pulled up I wondered over and asked what the deal was if we had to leave. He said everybody's gotta leave and he's about to load up this car first. I appologized and said we will move it then promptly ran around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to tell the rest of our group before hopping in my buddies e28 to bounce. At that point no cars were being towed yet and no cops had said anything. And I know my buddy they wanted to tow first wasn't in a handicap spot and he wasn't even the end of the row of cars

Yeah, as soon as I saw the tow truck roll up to the first e30 I figured it was time to leave.

people were parked there all week too, so you weren't the first to think of parking there. just the cops started getting more strict on who was in those lots as people would do stupid stuff (burnouts, littering, etc)
