    Powdercoating in Beltsville

Professional Coating Re-Imagined. Custom Performance Coating provides Powder Coating in Maryland options in the Baltimore / Washington area. Custom Performance […]

I was just there this morning and the work they had laying around looked pretty good. I'll post up pics of my intake manifold and valve cover in a few weeks when I get them back. I've been looking for a shop for quite a while and I can imagine I'm not the only one. Prices were reasonable too, $175 for both.

Let's hope their work is good!

WHAT AND YOU DIDNT SAY HI TO ME!!!!!?!?!?!

I work for CP-E. CPC is our sister powdercoating company which is in the same building as us. I run our performance shop which is on the other side of the building.

Steve does all my powdercoating work. Here are a few examples:

ceramic coated manifold for our N54 twin turbo kit

Engine parts for our 10 second ecoboost mustang

    E30 diff cover

Nothing but good stuff from him. You might have seen the flat black barrels to my OZ's in the waiting room too.

How am I supposed to know that? Haha. And why aren't you advertising this more?! I've even googled for local powdercoating places before and got nothing, only yesterday did I finally get a result. I'm just happy I can finally get things powdercoated only a few minutes away from my house. My friend (TimeMachine30) just shipped his m30 valve cover to renewedfinishes. I'm sure they do great work, but I knew the shipping cost was unnecessary. There had to be a place local. I was excited to see that they do ceramic coating too, might get my turbo manifold done.

I was talking to Shaun this morning, he's got a nice e30. I wonder why he didn't mention you, haha.

That's pretty cool though, I'll have to stop by CPE and check out the other half of the building.

Renewed Finishes (what Guten uses) quoted $100 for M30 valve cover.

I would say yes, going rate.

Yeah it was $100 for the valve cover and $75 for the intake manifold. I can't imagine you could get any cheaper without sacrificing quality.

                Wheel Refinish

Would they refinish basket weave wheels? Any ideas on cost to do so?

They definitely do wheels. I can't remember seeing Mitch's OZs, but I do remember seeing a set of white steelies and some other colored wheels. And they have plenty of wheels on their site.

As for cost, no idea. I didn't go to them for wheels, so you'd have to give them a call.

Just a strip and recoat? Usually runs around 250 (for the set) but you would have to call in (301 477 2278 ) and talk to Steve as I am only going based on what he quoted some of my customers wheels at.

WTF. He was outrageous for intake, cover and oil filter housing.

Even after I consider shipping with RF, I am looking at savings.

I'll stick with RF. Tried and true for the BMW world & Guten...

With that I HIGHLY doubt he does wheels for 250 a set.
