European Style License Plates in DC?

Does anyone here have experience using a European style front license plate in Washington DC?

DC has a two-plate requirement, but I've seen a fair number of street-parked cars with a Euro front plate not get tickets. Is there a specific work-around anyone knows of? If the Euro plate indicates D.C. and has the same plate as the official D.C. rear plate, maybe?

The only solution I've found so far was to mount the D.C. plate on tow hitch mount, and have the Euro plate mounted on the car, but that seems too defeat the purpose.

Any suggestions or past experiences would be really appreciated!

    run whatever plate you want.

if you get pulled over, pretend you didnt know, you get a warning generally

keep the DC plate in glove box.

You have to pay to play. I run my euro tag on the front of the vehicle, on the normal license plate, and since its short, I am able to bolt the VA tag on the lower bolts... if that makes any sense.
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.
