8 months ago I was all about finding a e28. Now I am not so sure but I could easily get back into them at least.
You are also right about the WRXs, I noticed the same thing too.sigpic

Awesome! I need some more car friends. And I only need advice with that stupid guibo....can it be done at home? I'm debating it taking it to the BMW guys on Derby Ln. in Westchester; they're walking distance to my work and parents' house.

And I can't forget about my other car and true love:

Guibo can absolutely be done at home. I find it helps to have a deWalt impact gun or similar and several feet of extensions. Also, PB blaster everything you will be removing ahead of time.
I put the car up on ramps with a jack under the diff periodically to lift the car up and rotate the dirveshaft, drop the exhaust, unbolt diff/driveshaft flange bolts, unbolt center support and the guibo bolts. i do the latter with a little box end wrench and the lengthy impact gun/extensions setup described above. Make sure the little triangle arrows are pointed the right way when you put the guibo back on. also, when you bolt the center support back up, make sure you put a little forward tension on the support as you bolt it back into place.sigpic
