Ben (or anyone else who knows off the top of their head) - does the E30 have a sprung-hub clutch? If so, it's very likely that it popped out a spring and that's keeping you from disengaging the clutch.

Sucks, but it's a pretty easy job on an E36 and I can't imagine the E30 is much harder.

Thanks Chris, I was hoping you might have an idea. I don't know what the setup is but when I get to a comp in a while I'll look it up for sure if someone else doesn't beat me to it... And how easy? like, I can do it myself easy?

Is there more drag when you roll or does it just accelerate slower?

A quick search, looks like it is a sprung hub disc - I'd bet dollars to donuts that is your problem.

Time for that drivetrain swap you've been thinking about. No better excuse! :)

Yeah, new clutch. Might as well upgrade it to handle the turbo's mad powAr

Turbo won't be for a while, but when I did it I was gonna do it "right." Shit... No idea when a turbo or swap will be along... How hard, errr... time consuming is a clutch, guestimate? And thanks Chris, I know you don't need to help people locally since you guys might be losing business, but you guys are busy as hell right? I'll have to figure this out, perhaps you should drive my car right quick some time soon to double check?

Clutch is easy. Chris can get it done super-fast. I can get it done super-cheap.

I thought the bolts were near impossible to get to in an E30?

Finally installed my super cheap M30 AFM and modded stock airbox and it actually drives better. Makes more noises so I am happy. Butt dyno calculates 0.7839hp gain

I know you guys can do it, but so can I haha. It runs and drives for now, how critical is it to get it changed?

I know when my clutch went bad in a different car I thought "Oh I can drive it for a few more days" Then I needed to tow it the next day.

Clutch is easy on an E30. Pretty much everything is easy on an E30. Much more so than an E36. Sam's shop down here in Loveland has all the tools you need if you want to drop by and do it.

Also: I'll buy you a clutch, and install it, if we can trade suspensions.

Lol gah, so many people want my coils... I might take you up on the offer for the space to do it though. Having some help I know would be nice. Can probably bring a pizza and some beer or something too... But, we'll see... I have no problem driving the car for now
