I'm pretty sure that E36 is running front E30 M3 DTM suspension, not in the rear. the magnesium struts on the DTM cars are pretty badass and were used up until the E90 model I believe.

There was a e36Ti hillclimb car with one too. The 93&94 e36 touring cars used the S42, which was the next generation of the S14.
Sad about the air race crash. Looks like the media is making the pilot out as a hero fir missing the grandstands... not sure if its true or media sensationalism.Comment

I thought that was the jackass pilot using the wrong altitude for mountain home AFB, and didn't climb high enough before rolling back over.
