            Yeah I feel pretty lucky it wasn't something worse.

            But also still mystified what caused it...

            Also any suggestion on a carbon deposit cleaner? I have throwing valve cleaner stuff in older engines (the carbon may be holding it all together) but the crap on the plugs and compression gauge suggests that some cleaning is necessary.

                    the seafoam treatment is kinda fun, and several years later when i had trouble passing emissions i pulled all the injectors and cleaned them by hand......wasn't necessary!
                    in summary, good stuff, that seafoam

                    and....FIND THAT RETAINING CLIP
                    that's what keeps all the rockers in place, as I'm sure you saw on all the other rocker arms. takes 2 secs to install. I actually have extra if you need one
