I did call before hand to make sure they actually had records for me though. They didnt give any info beyond, "you'll want to see this" over the phone. I've heard the same "protocol" from BMW customer service too, so it looks like Murray was playing by the book.

Im the one that is currently trying to sell this car and I bought it from someone like 4 months ago and I took it off the market, Apparently the guy I bought it from really bull shitted me. He told me about all that stuff that was done to it by the "previous owner" And it is an IS. Either way I love the car so Im just going to keep it, it was just a feeler. I would never rip anyone off so if the engine wasn't honed and everything I would really like to know which In that case I got ripped off. You cant trust anyone on craigslist these days. I know he is BSing because the car has 266k, and I sold it at 265k miles 18 months ago, and I bought it from the guy who did the head work.
Funny how BS spreads from owner to owner.
Also, it's an I, not IS model, is an 89, and unless suspension has been touched it has the Eibach ProKit sways and springs with Bilstein HDs.Comment
