If I were to own something other than an E30, it would be a 335D if you could get it in a manual transmission (not sure, but haven't looked into it either). I personally like the idea of diesel cars even though many performance-minded enthusiasts think diesels handle like an overloaded tugboat.

Yep. I have been going crazy waiting for the F31. I think I have my final decision on color. Alpine M-sport, 19's, red leather. I was thinking estoril, but I just don't think it will age that well. You can't go wrong with Alpine on a BMW. Plus, it's the easiest color to keep looking good though the years. I really am hoping for x-Drive 330d, but I will really settle for any F31 combo for our new DD and dog/bike/ski/camping/people hauler.
