Spent some time cleaning the car today. Was going to wax, but needs to be clay bar'd first. Anyways...

WOW! A clean alpine E30 is truly a beautiful thing. I miss the days when my E30 used to be clean like this:

Some friendly suggestions: grab the e-brake handle and pull back on it hard (not UP, but BACK), or use a rubber mallet to get the handle to slide back into place so the button protrudes out again.

Also, how about some SWEEET black painted valve cover and intake manifold, with all the raised lettering/ridges sanded to aluminum? that would look GOOOOOD.

That E30 is a stunning example. What mods were you planning? (you may have mentioned something in your other thread, i'll go take a look.)

Agreed completely. Will have to get on it.

Eventually this will be a turbo'd autox beast, but for now the mods start with wheels and tires, then some suspension.

I'm thinking some flat black Rota Slipstreams. Also like the look of a black wheel with a chrome lip...who knows. Any suggestions?

                A couple of things:

                turbo + E30 + Autox = not a good combination

black wheels with chrome lip = :weak:

Just went back and re-read your other thread, found your proposed mod list, ha ha!

If you are asking for mod suggestions, here is my humble opinion: Do something that looks better than Rota Slipstreams, like for example The TRMotorsport C1 from Tire rack. They come in 15x7 ($90 ea) and 15x8 ($100 ea) and they are lightweight and proven, and look better than slipstreams! ;)

Also, keep haunting the wheels FS subforum, some pretty sweet wheels pop up there pretty regularly. Another very cool mod is wheel studs. It makes it SOOO much easier to take wheels on and off, no need to align the wheel to the holes etc, and then wrestle with the lug bolt to get it to catch. besides, some 90mm black bullet nosed studs from Turner Motorsport would look SWEET.

yeah, it may be a pain to do autocross while continuously fluctuating precariously between on and off boost, it may just make you kill cones in an epic fashion when the motor suddenly builds boost in the middle of the slalom...

and black wheels with chrome lip... I must agree w/ Roland on this one... all black will probably look better, but of course that is only my opinion, and that isn't my car. ;)

EDIT: also, if you want a DD suspension, I would recommend H&R Race and Bilstien Sports, or if you want full-on track suspension, do GC coilovers.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
