    Lighting

So, due to a nice suggestion from you guys, I think I will try to do some lighting first.

I'm thinking I want 55W 4500k lows. Not mess with highs. And possibly 3000k fogs. I think that the yellow/amber fogs look great on an AW car. I have seen a lot of people that have the yellow/amber on their fogs, lows, and highs in pretty much every combination. I'm looking for suggestions on what looks best, but am currently leaning to the HID lows, current highs, and some yellow HID fogs.

I have the 4500 35W HID's. I like em. I have read about needing spacers with the 55 so you don't burn your lights up. Just make sure to look it up and confirm that first.

What looks the best or works the best?

both: TSX retrofit. I have that setup in my Subaru, and can show you how awesome it is for low beams.

If you want to blind/annoy people, get HID kits for your non-HID housings.

Putting re-based HIDs in a non HID projector is not only pointless, but illegal.

You're not "improving" your lighting over a high quality halogen bulb, but you are posing a danger to all oncoming traffic.

Lol... This thread could go so many ways.... What buckets do you have? I'm running 35w 6000k w/ Mr. 325's pigtail connectors, wish I had bought 55w 4500k.... David has ridden in my car and commented on how he should have gotten HIDs for his e30. Jus' sayin. As for the legality, I never get flashed cause my car's slammed and the buckets are aimed decently low, there are more dangerous things to worry about. Some OEM projectors Are downright absurd when seen in oncoming traffic.

Yeah, deleting a cat is also illegal too. ;)

I'd give a quality set of Halogen bulbs a shot first, legal, and without a proper HID in an HID projector, they're just as good.

Ellipsoids have plates in them to make a perfect cutoff. I don't know what the big deal is about? There is no washing out like the people that just put in HID's into their ford F150's and destroy everyone's eyes.

I got the 4500 and I think it is too blue. It gives that nice HID look and the light is actually pretty white, but I will go warmer next time. I don't like the HID look at all so 4500 ends up being perfect for most people.

I agree with Brad, always have had the same thoughts on the subject. I still wish I had gone with 55w 4500k..... If anyone wants mine I'd be willing to sell so I can upgrade

That is where I am sitting right now. Also, friend of mine had his catless turbo civic pass emissions a month or two ago...I'd figure they would at least look to see if he had one. People around here must not care too much about the cat...
