Thanks! My lens had a really hard time finding any focus with all the dust. Pretty much all day I was manual, except my focus ring is jacked up, so getting good sharp shots was hard. I'll do a lot of things different next time, but it was still crazy fun!
Sam did a pretty good job of sliding and throwing up plenty of dust too.
There was no timing this time, there was some semblance of order in the morning, then after that it was literally a free-for-all where you could run wherever you wanted whenever you wanted.
I raced last year, but the event was very disorganized. I had 3 re-runs in a row, because timing wasn't working. Then they had to revert to stopwatches for timing, which became frustrating. Has the organization improved, or could you tell?
Oh I know, I went rallycrossing in it once a few years ago. Was fun but that event at least was like autocrossing in the amount of track time for your money and time. Sounds like things have changed for the better.
