Studies show a lot of things. One of my best friends growing up smoked up to 5x daily, now has an MS in engineering from a good school and is working professionally.

Blaming the drug is an easy out.

I'm not saying it doesn't help some people... But it also has it's downsides. Like the drug that prevents allergies but kills your liver. There's and up and a down to it, and I don't think that people should use it to self medicate.

Studies have shown overlying long term motivational issues and motor-skill issues among users. Studies don't show that some people may need something to calm them down to focus in school to succeed. Too many variables.

Probably seen it before, but forgot what it's about. Wish I could watch it now, but that would not go over well.

indeed. We all know all the crap they teach about drugs in schools. So of course the smart/ambitious kids are going to stay away from the stuff. While the loser kids consider themselves to not have anything to lose, and go for it.

It's not that all pot heads are unmotivated losers, but that a lot of unmotivated losers are pot heads.

Hell, I've known people that have been motivated by the silly plant. you can't buy it if you don't have money.

I agree though. Most of my friends who do smoke weed are not unmotivated losers, hell most are doing quite well. Studies and experts can and will say pretty much anything.
