          *great

          Buy a donor M50, and you'll have a full S50+extras for <$1300.

So an M50 harness is the same as the S50 harness? Because that would be my biggest worry, rewiring the entire engine.

              OBD1 harness is the same.

              OBD2 harness is the same.

There just so happens to be a 325i at the Pull N' Save right now with EVERYTHING still on it. Well, it was all still there on Saturday.

There is no S50US harness, there is no S50US head, there is no S50US ECU... it's all M50 stuff that has simply applied to a slightly different bottom end.

This. The S50 is a 3L M50 with better cams and a different tune. That's it. The S52 is, again, a 3.2L M52 with better cams and a different tune.

The differences crop up when you talk about 3/3.2L S50 Euro or S54s.

I thought this was common knowledge at this point.

figgered i'd ask whether the M50 and S50 harnesses are 100% identical. There is a chance that they are not, I surely don't know for certain. I bet the ECUs are different though, there has got to be a different tune on an S50 ECU.

                            Same ECU. Different chip.

Sam, stop buying E28's and buy this. Then swap your car for the power and knowledge. Then make money by swapping my car later on. Sounds like a win, win win?
