Damn, I woulda done that considering the heli-coil kit cost $65...
I heli-coiled it myself and it all went perfectly except that when I drilled it to enlarge the hole, the drill went in slightly crooked which I was trying to avoid by going up in steps to the suggested 9/16th's.
Fuck.
I decided to go with the fumoto valve thing and jb weld it in. Hopefully that works...

Well, it's all done.
I just used some RTV sealer stuff on the threads and globbed around the surface. This Permatex Ultra Copper stuff was recommended by quite a few people on the interwebs...so I trusted them. It should be fine...I hope.

Here's the valve with the extension needed to clear the recess in the pan.

Here's it together.

Here it is closed.

And open.

Here is the extension attached to the pan.

And the whole thing.

Also did my skid plate today.

As you can see, it clears the valve YAY!!!
