Oh ha ha I just remembered I have an entire M20B27 motor w/ snapped t-belt, so I am assuming it is a good pan.

B25 and B27 pans don't differ at all, do they?

Couldn't tell ya for sure, best thing is do a realoem part number comparison. I would assume that they are the same.

Oh, a good thing to note, my oil pan is on a 1987 528e, so check the realoem PN for that.

If you didnt mess up the threads too much messing with it why not take it to Cal and have him heli-coil it? Cost me $50 only because he couldn't charge less then 0.5 hours without getting in trouble.

Damn, I woulda done that considering the heli-coil kit cost $65...

I heli-coiled it myself and it all went perfectly except that when I drilled it to enlarge the hole, the drill went in slightly crooked which I was trying to avoid by going up in steps to the suggested 9/16th's.

              Fuck.

I decided to go with the fumoto valve thing and jb weld it in. Hopefully that works...

                  Of the fumoto valve setup?

I decided to try and go with a thread sealer instead of jb welding the crap out of it. I'm going to look up a bunch of them, but does anyone know a good thread sealer that can withstand heat?

                    Well, it's all done.

I just used some RTV sealer stuff on the threads and globbed around the surface. This Permatex Ultra Copper stuff was recommended by quite a few people on the interwebs...so I trusted them. It should be fine...I hope.

Here's the valve with the extension needed to clear the recess in the pan.

                    Here's it together.

                    Here it is closed.

                    And open.

Here is the extension attached to the pan.

                    And the whole thing.

Also did my skid plate today.

As you can see, it clears the valve YAY!!!

                    Lowwww....
