Just S54 swap your E36. Cheaper and more effective.

No shit, sherlock. The V10 subaru is a cool oddball swap though.

It most definitely is. I saw that a few days ago. I like odd swaps, but I like to keep engines from the same brands in a car.

I just test drove an '86 GL wagon today. Loved it! I'll probably buy it. 244k, a little ugly, and underpowered as hell. On the flip side EVERYTHING works, and it's got a bunch of new parts on it (battery, tires, all fluids, master cylinder, brakes, and timing belt.) Begging for a lift, more lights, and some bigger tires, but mainly it'll be a way for me to park the e30 this winter when the snow is deep. Hopefully I'll pick it up, post some pics, and join the proverbial club!

Both my brother and I learned to drive an 86 GL wagon. You open the hood and the motor only takes one 1/4 of the engine compartment.
                    JOY IS AN E30...

                        nice!

I still haven't given up on the H6T idea, but the M is taking all the funds.

There is a local here in ABQ with a turbo H6. Pretty decent on only 7 or 8lbs. Problem is they don't fit well in the impreza chassis.

True, but they DO fit well in a Legacy chassis.

                              true. Or in an SVX.
