Someone try to take some general lap times when you are out there. I was running 2:28-2:30 in my unracecar E30 my first time out.

Well prepared e36 m3s are in the sub 2.0 or 2.0-2.10 range. Dependent on driver of course

About 20mins, unless you want to spend $8/gal. I'm debating half or full day, what are you thinking?

Bummer dude, I feel your pain. We were up until 5:00 working on David's car. Might want to try and get up to the track ASAP as I think a few of them were leaving before the afternoon session due to work conflicts.
