Yeah it was the wee hours when I was laying in bed thinking about what was wrong with the car. I got out of bed to test my idea. I slept better knowing it worked.

Also my new fuel filter (it was new) is pretty nasty, I think I have crud in my gas tank. New filter on the way and I'll be checking/cleaning my tank. I hate this damn car and love it at the same time.

yeah pretty much. My stinkin rust pile of an E30 needs a trans, but it was so heavenly on the rally track this weekend before it grenaded...

Sounds like my Midget. I rebuilt the carbs, new fuel lines, a dozen filters. Now a new gas tank. The gas looks like coffee!
