What to do with my old 885 head

Hello,

I have an old cylinder head from when my timing belt broke a few years back. How would i dispose of it? Just take it to a metal recycler and see how much they give me? It feels like a dumb question, but w/e.

I want to get rid of this thing.

Cheap/free? It's aluminum, worth a few bucks in scrap metal at the least.

Yeah they are. broke like 4 rocker arms.

I found a place to take it, so i'm getting rid of it tomorrow.

Atlas Metal recyclers is who i have used. They pay you more for aluminum if you have separated the types of metals (aluminum casting from steel&iron cams, valves, etc.) and take it as separate loads (they pay you based on car entry & exit weights) Only worth the trip when you have a hundred pounds or so to recycle, but they paid top dollar in denver for aluminum years back when i dealt with them.

thanks leane30, i looked into atlas as well, but I ended up going to this place at 5555 franklin st - IMI or something like that. about 50lbs for the head, and some golf clubs, almost made ten bucks.

the place on 5555 is good for ferrous metals, but I always go to benson for aluminum (they pay better)
