    Need e30 mechanic

Just need to get it up and running, fuel line under the car burst and I don't want to pay astronomical fees for this shit to get fixed. I'll pay and give parts I have in trade for labor. I just need the car running and a few parts in. Haven't had much luck with mechanics lately. It's obvious I won't make it to Gfest at this point. Just need someone to help me get it up and running, I'll help you during the process. If you're anywhere near the Poconos or Stroudsburg please let me know, and pm me.

Thanks Vince. It was probably stupid to buy this car as my DD. I've been sitting idle for 5 months waiting for it to be worked on, and only two things have been done with the car. I just need someone who is willing to work on it and I can see the car as a reliable means of transportation. I don't have enough to buy a beater car, but I do have enough just to get it up and running and a possible paint job. I can't sit here for another half a year waiting around for it to get worked on, it's just not realistic.

And if your bursting lines, buy a Fuel Pressure regulator, I would assume that was already suggested to you by a local at least?

That would be a good fix if you really like the smell of gasoline.

Lol dude me and Pete have been trying to get you to fix it since it broke. I figured you just wanted to wipe your hands clean of it. Even today he told me he offered you cash to come get it running. I understand you're busy and shit so I figured I would stop burdening you with it. You gotta understand that this is my only means of transportation, and I gotta find a job and start college soon.

I hate to be at this point, but I'm really so stressed out about the whole thing that I considered just listing the parts I bought and selling the car, or selling the parts and car as a packaged deal. I love the car to death but I can't just watch it parked pretty and just admire it. I gotta drive it and use it man.

This is my first time working on a car. I have no tools or knowledge to do any of this. I wanted to learn everything along the way so it would be something I can refer back to and store that knowledge away for later use. I want hands on experience and teachings from someone who knows what they are doing.

Id do it, but Im already slammed with work as it is.
What exactly keeps happening? blowing the line off the fuel rail?
Is it always the same line thats doing it?

There's a few things that need to be done. I'm way past my inspection date, but the things I need done to pass would be a new fuel pressure regulator so the thing starts. I also need to get the electrical problems fixed, as none of the dash lights or shifter lights work, including the blinkers.

I'm not extremely knowledgeable about cars, which is why I'm here to learn. Worst case scenario I sell the car and get something that runs. I can't rely on waiting around for 1 running car that is on it's way out and is in desperate need of a new motor besides dealing with all that's wrong with mine. I have no problem paying someone to fix what's wrong with it, as long as they teach me everything they are doing along the way.

EDIT: Thank you Matt. I just need to ask for the tools from fam and can probably work with this.
