Anyone have a m20b25 or chipped eta?

I have a stock eta. I despise it. I don't want to drop money on a chip because well... I want to blow up this motor. But people keep telling me it's worth it.

I want a more rev happy feeling so I thought maybe an m20b25 would make me happier?

I would like an m50 but I don't want to spend that much money and I don't have all the skills to do the swap.

So anyone have an m20b25 or chipped eta you'd be cool with me driving very gently and briefly to get a feel of what I'm looking for?

    I'm in the U-District.

Really changes the RPMs. Really just did it to prep for my m50 swap. I don't daily drive it anymore so the raised RPMs wasn't too big a deal for me.

Sounds like you have a test ride, but for reference my eta's Mark D chipped with 3.46 lsd. What a difference...wow.

                        I agree. I would prefer an m50.

I'm wondering if the cost is worth the modest bump in power from a b25 motor. hmm.

I had an b27, b25, drove an M50 and have an M30 now.

b27 (w/ bav auto chip): Nice but I'd rather have the b25, felt alittle more pull but seemed to leave a lot to desire

b25: I think out of all of them (I haven't had much experience w/ my M30 yet), this was the one that was most enjoyable to drive, don't know why though, it was fast"er" when you wanted it to be. Felt like it pulled very well. It was a fully stock car..other then the useless CAI which sounded cool

M50: it was fast but it wasn't a stock car and I didn't enjoy driving it. It was fast, don't get me wrong, but didn't seem like the torque was there, the pull happened in a much higher RPM level. The car had a ton of work done to it but seemed to leave me asking what he spent so much money on. (hope that makes sense)

M30: Its heavier but its got massive torque (to me) compare to all 3 above and pulls nicely. I've driven it up and down a small street and it was quit and enjoyable for that 1/2 mile like the b25.=insta-pull

Sorry I don't have a chipped b27 car for your to drive (well its sitting behind my moms garage) but I'm in Ohio.

                              I appreciate the reviews.

In essense I know I'm not going to have a quick car here, as I don't want to put the money in or need it at this point in my life. I'm just looking for something that's fun, and gives the feel of being quick. Hell even an m50 isn't fast by any means, I just thought the revvy nature of it might be appealing.
