I have about the same, the key to not loosing it is to know when you run over it. That said it must have been coming off already, or maybe had some broken clips on it. Sorry to hear about that.

I'm checking with Mel at Abraham Motorsports on a current price. He's pretty good at these esoteric E30 items. Might order a half dozen if anyone wants one. You'd have to pick it up from me in Bellevue however.

The dealers support and subsidize the costs of local BMW Club events, which I appreciate. So I don't use that term myself.
