Where not to speed in Washington

Forgot to add Canyon rd near Sylvan both directions look out for photo radar vans. Also Cedar Hills rd near the park photo radar vans. And on 99e between Johnson Creek and 224 heading towards Milwaukee. -
A friend of mine is into MG's and he mentioned Chuckanut, apparently the "Bike" guys have been buzzing around the slow drivers and that's what has got their attention. Chuckanut has,for me, been a good road in the Fall and Winter less amateurs then.
Deception Pass is patrolled pretty heavy, Island or Skagit county sherriff's will camp on the island between bridge spans, and WSP will sit at the approaches. Especially from 11pm on.Leave a comment:

Sorry this is for Oregon but here's my list, and I drive a lot for work. I-5 from Bridgeport exit to Aurora, North and South, lots of construction have seen more people getting pulled over here than anywhere else recently. I-5 from Chemawa Rd to Woodburn both directions, lots of people speed through here, see lots getting pulled over. Clackamas at 205 and 212 south bound right under the exit ramp. 26 west coming down the hill in between 217 and Murray. 26 west coming up the hill at the zoo. 217 between 26 and Allen(learned this one the hard way). I405 both directions the whole length in downtown Portland, lots of construction and lots of bike cops sitting under overpasses in the darkness. 99w from Tualitin-Sherwood rd to Quarry rd(near Newberg). 99e/McLoughlin coming into town between Holgate and Hawthorne. Any downhill section on the way to the coast on 26 or 6. Thats what I can think of off the top of my head. Best Highway to speed on around here I would say is I-84 rarely see cops between Troutdale at the truck stop and Hood River. Watch out in Clackamas County for an Unmarked with the custom license plate TACT Silver Charger dark tinted windows. No spot light and strobes hidden under grilles, gotta be the best undercover I've ever seen. Also in Salem, White new Mustang with Blue stripes and dark tinted windows.Last edited by JMil86; 09-04-2009, 01:06 PM.Leave a comment:

I've driven Chuckanut well over 100 times and NEVER seen a cop operating a speed trap...and only very rarely have I seen one just driving on the road. But times change and it seems like something they wouldn't ignore if they thought it was really a problem.
It's not really that great of a road anyway...too many blind curves, too many slow drivers, not long enough "fun" sections, ect.Leave a comment:

Yes chuckanut drive is to. My brother inlaw got pulled over about aweek ago after he got his rs4. They are everywhere on that road and alot of them are on bikes.Leave a comment:

That's because there's a WSP office off the last exit to Burlington. The place is crawling with Troopers around shift change.
Some folks have mentioned that Chuckanut drive is thick with cops as well.Leave a comment:

Heading in to Bellingham on 5 a few turns after the speed drops from 70 to 60. 80% of the time their either parked waiting or have someone pulled over. I used to go their twice a week in the early afternoon. several miles before that spot I never had a problem.Leave a comment:

Got pulled over on that stretch on my way to a Bremerton Autocross, think it's the only time I've been let go with just a warning.
Visibility just sucks on that highway, so many places for them to hide.Leave a comment:
