He is saying that is is fact a M52TU which means that it has dual vanos. Hoveringuy, a member of R3v lives in Seattle and has an M54 in his e30, so he would be a good resourse if you were looking to put this motor in your car. But make sure you get ECU and EWS stuff because I am not too sure they have a good way to remove EWS in the OBD2 ecu.

The M52tu is basically a 2.8 litre M54. There are a few small differences.

and, yes, it will run OBD1 just fine. Offer $500 and you've got a pretty screamin' deal!Comment
