Fight it, just recently e30:) got a good amount back for his early model. (I KNOW it was upwards of 2000) and stress the maintenance and what not, not modifications.
Also tell them how much you paid, pull off craigslist ads for cars as clean as yours. Just fight, you should get more than 2500 from what I've heard. Also, see how much it is to buy back the car and part out stuff. (Like the cup kit)

On my way home on thursday i was turning a corner hand hit a patch of gravel and my front tires lost traction because the roads were also wet, i ran straight into a curb and shattered my oil pan, broke both engine and tranny mounts, fucked up my steering column, and destroyed my alignment. My insurance company is totaling my car, and despite the evidence ive shown them of putting 2 grand worth of repairs in the car in the past month, and the receipts for the cup kits, exhaust, and chip, they are probably gonna fuck me over because these cars blue book for like 1600. I bought the car for 3500. I'll probably be lucky to get 2500 for the car..
