I got a 3200$ check for my 91 318 when i got rear-ended. I bought it back for 400$ and just popped a new rear tailight in it and rolled on.

Just keep bitching to the insurance company. When some woman hit my car her insurance offered me like 1300, and I just kept bitching and moaning until they gave me around 3k.

What kinda condition is the shell in? Did it bend the frame when you hit hard? Trans tunnel messed up? I got an M60 I could throw in it if it was the right price. Ask what they want to buy it back.

    Good Luck

Thats why I have the excell spreadsheet with 27,000 dollars of work done to my car over the last half of its life. Didn't e30fourlife total his and get like, 8k back from insurance because of the buttload of receipts he had? 3250 isn't too much to have into your car. Granted you should get more than 1600, or probably even 2250. Just saying that 2250 for 3250 in receipts isn't bad. If i total my car, I know I won't even get 10k back... Don't feel, "lucky," but don't feel ripped off either. You can buy the car back and part it and probably be left with enough to purchase another decent e30. Good luck, insurance companies are a nightmare to deal with.

Mine was $900 and is probably better than 80% of the cars that cost twice that much.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the exact amount. That's what I thought it was though.

Agree, come up with some proof that they should give you some more money.
