just dont accept their check they send you. keep fighting for a reasonable amount not some stupid 12k or something, and if you have all of the said reciepts, then you should be fine.
just keep denying them, and refuse to budge, eventually they will move in your favor. (thats how i got $4000 in repairs and kept a clean title,( i had over $8k in reciepts.))sigpicComment

I had a super clean 88' iX with a few mods here and there, totalled it driving like a dumbass and bout killed myself. I had recipts, letters from reputable people and shops and they only have me 2000 total. I thought that I would at least get 3500 but get 2k. Incsurance sucks and there is nothing to do to get a substancially more amount.

have you read any other thread on r3v about people dealing with insurance companies?
if you do...
the first thing you'll learn is that the offer is usually around 2k.
the second thing you'll learn is what people can get for their car after they show receipts and stuff.
honestly though, out of the stuff you listed, the only thing that would be worth giving you extra money for would be the cup kit, and those are only $700 new so don't expect to see more than like $300 extra for that.Comment

Buy it back, someone will store it for you. Worst case scenario is take everything out, put some steelies on it and tow it to the scrap yard. Generally U-Pull it will give you just as much as their salvage fee, depending on who you go through.

when i was hit this summer there first offer was 1200 becouse the cost for the repair was something like 3400$
i just told them that that wasnt going to work for me and i sent in all the recipts i had from the last owner and they told me 3600$ but in that case they would just fix it wich was what i wanted.
tell them its not just a car its a hobby and show them pictures of your car next to another e30.. if you hav any pictures at the picnic or whatever they might help too. talk to lanceracing i think is is name, he helped me out alot.
oh and the buy back on my car was gonna be $23

If the body is completely fine, buy it back (they'll give you cash plus the car), and just sell the whole thing. If the damage is really what you've described, then someone will snap it up and fix that.
Hell, if you were close to me, I'd seriously consider buying it up and fixing it. I've already go the parts.2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD LBZ/Allison

for future reference
havent thought about this about my car, but while its still good, get a independent appraisal, or from the bmw dealer, on value.
you can aslo push them if local sale prices of comp. cars are higher.
as early posts say, replacement stuff is standard replacement stuff to insurance companies, my wife totaled her car and we had the same battle. what we got from the insurance company did not even cover the new suspension, timing belt, h20, tune, detail, tires
to them that is normal maintanince. we pushed to get the replacement value of the car not what they first offered, so it was up to them to look in local papers, etc to find out what she would have to pay for a replacement car in its condition of the wrecked one, it upped the payemnt from them for about $800
but like I said earlier, if you have an independent appraisal that can help
case in point. my last bmw motorcycle, the insurance company said to them it would only be worth maybe 1k ( its old) so I went tot he local bmw dealership and got a written apprasial, worth 4k to them, that is then what the insurance company siad they would insure it for. when I sold the bike this past fall, the appraisal helped push the price.
this spring, when IM done with my bmw vert (CAR), I think Ill run it to a dealer and see if I can get a written appraisal
my current bmw motorcycle project, when it is done, it will go to the dealer for the same thingComment

they always try to screw you on their first offer. find similar cars for sale across the country at a higher price and send them in.Comment

This has been discussed at length before:
That should help you out. I believe Lance Racing does Insurance as his day job, and Aptyp did a good job of not getting hosed on his eS. I'd PM those two with specific qustions, and they may be nice enough to respond in kind.'89 325i track sloot

Have you asked what they'll charge you to keep the car? It's probably just a couple hundred bucks. I had a similar thing happen with my old daily driver Saab. The car books for less than $3 grand but my estimate was for almost $4 large. They let me keep the car for $250 and paid me the rest. You'll easily make up the difference by parting your e30 and it shouldn't take long.
Good luck
PS what do you want for the wheels?
