i was in college up until december. i'm now graduated, and i got a full time job. btw e39's are not that expensive. i'm making small monthly payments to onpoint.
on my drive back from the bay area, i got 29mpg at an average of 70mph. one could theoretically go like 500+ miles on a tank (18gal i think).
the interior is a 9.99/10. black leather with black trim. the only thing "wrong" is that the plastic cover on the left steering-wheel buttons is kind of scratched up or peeling off, however you want to look at it.
the exterior is a 9/10. it has about 5 little door dings, and maybe 5-10 tiny rock chips. the car is so close to perfect that i'm really thinking about getting it all fixed/touched up really soon. a couple of the wheels have some rash, too.
mechanically it would also seem to be a 10/10, although it needs new brakes soon and the hand brake needs adjusting.
yes, which i've decided is the best color for an e39.Comment

miles/price?
im about to turn 74k, and i picked it up for just under $10k.
super nice example... you lucked out. i wanted a manual, but i own 3 other manual cars, and i dont want my GF driving any of them. $12k 100k miles. The $2k was worth it for me to get a 5-speed, and also buy it from someone "in the r3v family". I got it from Levent's (ZM Blue Devil) brother in law.Comment

um.. no. then i'd have to let her drive my other cars.
between that, my e30, and the e21, ive got plenty to do with my right hand while driving... in the e39, i can grope my girl instead.Originally posted by HollandThere should be a restraining order to keep kids 100 feet from that car at all times.
