    Cheapest place for front end alignment?

    Called some various place, all with their heads up their asses.

    Quotes from 60-135$

    anyone cheap. For Christ sake, only the tierods get adjusted.

            if its $60, just do it. that is a good deal. Most places charge around $100 because they still check your thrust angle and BS like that with the laser guided super duper alignment gizmos.

                basically you just find some way to measure the distance between the fronts of the two tires, and the backs of the two tires. When I helped adjust my toe-in we just used some plates that went against the outside of the tire and had slots cut in it for a tape measure blade to go through it. I don't remember what the measurements were, but if you have no toe-in in front of the tire would measure like 60" and behind would measure the same 60". then you just turn the adjusters so that the tires have like 1/16" toe in and you should be good. I think that is all we set mine for, and it hasn't giving me an ounce of trouble. We also set my camber, but you need a fancy tool for that, and then camber/caster plates so you can even adjust it.

                  I used a laser level. I lined it up with the tires, marked the beam on the floor behind the tires and 10' in front, did some trig to find the angle.

                  Adjust, repeat.

                      I can afford to drive to peoples houses to work, and make the little $ I do. I dont have 60$ extra, Trevor. There called Toe Plates.
