Wanted: E30 m3 owners to M Car Day

Hey E30 M3 owners!

M Car Day is this Sunday, August 22 at the NEW Griots Garage in Tacoma.

There will be record number of M Cars that day, but so far only 9 E30 M3s.

What! How can this be? There are somewhere around 40 E30 M3s in the area that I know of. Your E30 M3 does not have to be a garage queen to come out. Wash it, clean the wheels and you are good to go.

Why own an E30 M3 and choose not go to M Car Day and represent the greatest M Car of them all? Better be a pretty good excuse!

Free lunch for each M Car owner, courtesy of Griots Garage. Don't need to be an BMW Club to attend.

Maybe... I did rsvp with the M3 but if the family goes we'll see if they all fit in the E30... I've only gotten the kid in the M3, not sure if there is enough room up front for the wife with the kid rear facing seat in back, it doesn't fit behind my seat!

Bring the M3 up early, store it at my place, I'll drive it over to the show, you can drive the M5, pick up the M3 whenever it is convenient (never).

how'd you mount a rear facing seat anyway? just the seatbelt? there's no anchors for a carseat in my E30. I had some fun getting one in the back of my car. lol

We're doing much better on E30 M3s, but Chris your M5 buddies could probably stand to see you. Only 3 or 4 of those RSVP. :)

BTW - Chris, I've fit Dylan in a rear facing seat in the back of my E30 with Krystal up front with no problems. Unless you have a gigantic car seat, you should be able to take the E30.

how'd you mount a rear facing seat anyway? just the seatbelt? there's no anchors for a carseat in my E30. I had some fun getting one in the back of my car. lol

Yup, just the belt and at least you have 4 doors! Since I have the "bucket seat style" rear bench, I can't put the seat in the middle so one side gets screwed. I'm not sure our car seat is oversized or not, it just looks cramped to me last time I had it in the E30.


Lance - the E39 showing is always low (well M5s in general usally) I'm sad I missed the concours this year where apparently they all showed up!
