Yeah, I've seen them sell for as low as 50 bucks mounted to of course several hundred. What are people thinking?

to me the steelies are worth more than the tires (sentimental). Ill take a look at them tomorrow and let you know a price. Im thinking like $100 or so.

This is the only set of extra wheels I got. They have a significant amount of tread left.

Will have pics tonight.

These are not any ordinary steelies my friends.

These are off of my (former) euro 318i. So they are appropriate offset and everything.'
Thus the sentimental value.

I only used them one season but they were used before I got them. As soon as the roads cleared up I took them off so they have not seen much bare road while I have had them.

How long do snow tires last?

True snow tires get their performance in part from a very soft rubber compound. So to make them last, you don't want to run them all year long. You can probably ballpark 15k miles on a set of snows.

Also, true snow tires get grip from a tread pattern that is designed to grip snow and ice but this tread design is not as good in the dry. Look at the Blizzak snow tires for a good example with all of the cuts across the tread blocks. Just another reason not to run snows in the summer.
