I had the opportunity to check that car out in Portland on the way to the last PNW Picnic. Great e30. Welcome.

So far I get a constant oil level and washer level light (jumped the washer one with a wire and it went out). Oil level I haven't messed with at all, going to try and clean everything at next oil change.

When I turn the headlights on I get coolant level and rear lights. Coolant level switch can be jumped and the check light won't turn on, and guessing that there are some goofy/bad contact in the rear lights that I need to find/check/replace.
Oil level: first, check fuse 21 (7.5A stock, needs 10A if aftermarket deck) as it will keep the memory of low oil set if fuse 21 is dead.

Remember that the oil level sender is 2 separate switches in one, so crossing wires does not work.

Coolant level is "get lucky with cleaning or replace", same as washer level...but the "rear light" and coolant are not related anywhere!

The rear light indicator is generally fixed by cleaning the "Rear Lights Check Relay" which is just in front of the antenna on that side wall, up high above the fender (under the trunk liner, of course).

Those contacts get cruddy, they need to be cleaned with "electronic cleaner". I prefer CRC brand, #23 IIRC.

If you don't have the electrical troubleshooting manual go to www.wedophones.com. Look for MANUALS, then AUTOMOTIVE.

        GL!

nah, you guys did every other car except this one. it has never had a good stereo, just a circuit city installed deck. then they called me and said "i dont think there is speakers in this car" they were right.
