                A cracked subframe isn't that uncommon though, I've inspected 2 and welded them both up! My 318iS dropped the oil pan on the subframe because it tore the mount off the frame.

                  The S50 car im currently working on had a sheared off motor mount tab. The previous owner had been driving with it like that for years...yikes.

                    Was it on the torque side?

                    I busted a few motor mounts on the racecar early on, which sucked with the early cooling system setup because the Alternator pulley fan would cut in to the lower hose. Went through two lower hoses in one race weekend at ORP before I figured out WTH was happening..

                          If the dash truly is as nice as he says, that's damn near worth the asking price alone (even for one with a crack...I got $700 a couple years ago for one I had that had two small cracks)

                            Agree. That's not a bad deal considering what some of the custom '02's are fetching now when done right. In the end, to do one right, you'd have to have the shell looking like this at some point..
