Yes Yes nice to meet you, I met a lot of people that night and this was the first E30 meet Ive been to Ive only owned an e30 for a few months.

Sorry to rant on your thread Abe, There’s just so much disaster and negativity in the world now I/we hate to see it in the few remaining places that bring us joy. If this wasn’t fun I wouldn’t do it, let’s keep it enjoyable.

However in retrospect, if the r3v community voices that other makes models are not welcome at meets it is the choice of the many not of the few, anybody can respect that.

I personally enjoy seeing other scenes. It gives a different take on similar passions. I dont see anything wrong with it. Sure some might think the German side is better than the rest, but thats why we drive em. No need to knock the others. People do stupid stuff to BMWs just like they do stupid stuff to Hondas.

I dont think there is ever a beef. Might be some eye rolling, but that goes both ways and is usually kept to ourselves and themselves. I like getting inspiration from outside the box. IE, my mirrors.

The e30 Picnic, or BimmerFest etc, those are exclusive events.

I'm not a "Honda guy" or a "Subbie guy", but I DO enjoy looking at them when someone has put a lot of effort into them, I guess that makes me a "car guy".

I've learned a lot from the other communities.
