On the subject of springs, I've already disconnected the sway bar (the links have been disconnected) but the rear trailing arms won't drop any further. I'm perplexed by it all. It needs like another inch for the springs to come free (it's almost there.. but it's still under some tension).
I'm out in Forest Grove, on the far west side of Portland. At this point, when I swap out the half-shafts it's going to be remans or new as there's sense putting in used with all the other work being done (and the possibility of having to pull it all again because.. well, it is, potentially, a 20 year old part at this point). So thanks for the pics Matt, but I'm going to have to pass.
EN318isPDX, your offer is shaping up to probably be the best bet at this point. I'm still trying to work on NAPA to order the parts in but I dunno (there's none in Oregon, and I think the closest place that has them is Montana). I probably need to talk to someone else, or a different store.Comment
