    how important are wheels?

    case 1:

Who would of thought you could make a 850 look like a Firebird (and not in a good way..)

thoughts or examples of wheels/rims that make or break a car.

So, what's your point? That doesn't make them look good. Parallels are WAY better than those wheels.

Factory or not, they are hideous in chrome...which is odd, as IMO the only place you can run a chrome wheel is on a red car...but damn, wish I had the money to save that car.

I'll see your ugly wheels and raise the bar.

                850i 6 speed

Dark Red BMW 850i. V12 Rare 6 speed. 118,600 miles. It gets 24mpg when driving on the highway...
                18x8 Autostrada HD wheels
Also have stock wheels with old tires on them (used for winter storage so it doesn't sit on the good tires).
Custom CNC machined Aluminum spacers on rear (1.5" ea)
Two new Duralast Batteries each w. 850 ccA

Mechanically in great shape. Engine is strong. Oil recently changed.
Interior needs headliner. Passenger door relay needs replacing ($300 from bmw). All this means is that the passenger side window only works from the driver's side switch.

This is a collector car. It is one of 877 made with a 6 speed.

Well I hardly think the factory turbine wheels make it look like a firebird. They are also functional for brake cooling. That was their purpose.

                    I absolutely loathe Style 9's.

I think it's the chrome that really doesn't seem to fit. To me seems so much better when like this.

Not as bad, but these are what in my mind "fit"

but then again, everything is subjective I guess.

It's the trashy chrome, plain and simple. Chrome tend to cheapen the look.

They're too small and the chrome is god-awful, but honestly I don't dislike the design at all.

                            Chrome can look good.

this isn't an example of it.

Style 9's look god awful in chrome, brushed aluminum, silver paint, black paint, etc. They look like plastic.

Those M-Parallels are fucking sex. They look awesome on E31's, E32's, E34's, E38's and E39's!
