Is the driver's door hard to open? If so, you've probably got some frame damage. Like others have said, you will not know the full extent of damages until you remove bumper, valance and said fender.
Sucks to have that happen and I wish you the best of luck in repairing your car!

Got the fender ripped off and threw a spare on...seemed to drive ok around the block. Going to take it on over to a body shop I've used in the past to see what they say about the frame.
Luckily I haven't really modded it much save for coilovers and track pads, so I'm OK if i have to part it out and find another. Or I'll fix it enough to keep it as a 99% track car.Comment

there is no way that that is totaled I've seen way worse come thru catunes shop and they come rolling out like nothing ever happened just get a new fender and what ever else you need and your good to goComment

Looks totaled to me. Look at the driver side ellip. If that's how it's sitting naturally, then the core support is probably bent.-Brad, AlphaTeam Motorwerks, LLC

Hit black ice right after getting on the I-5 NB express lanes...went into a double tank slapper before t-boning a Toyota. All in all, could have been way worse, I'm not hurt but my wife says her neck isn't feeling too great today.
Fender was pushed back far enough into the tire to puncture it...car didn't really want to start after the accident but i was able to get it started and over to the shoulder.
Anyone know how fault is determined in black ice cases? I wasn't doing anything wrong and there were other vehicles spinning from black ice in the general vicinity.
Whatcha think, totalled?
It might be totaled due to the number of parts on question, but it should be quite fixable. The big question is the state of the front frame rails.
And I agree with others; the way you've described it, you're legally at fault, as you're the one who lost control of the car.
Out of curiosity -- how did the tank slapper start? Which end broke loose?Comment

Sorry to hear, but I'm glad you're ok.

The rear stepped out to the left very abruptly, I tried to correct it but couldn't save it. I estimate I was going 35-45 at the time. I wasn't accelerating particularly hard (insert M42 joke here). There was another vehicle in the exact same area which had spun from one side of the freeway to the other and was sitting on the shoulder, facing the opposite direction--so I wasn't the only one to hit the black ice and get caught by it.
I was extremely lucky the way things played out and I'm very thankful that nobody was injured.
I think the front core support is bent a bit, but the doors seem to open and close about the same as before so I think I will be able to fix it without going poor. Headlight mounting locations were pretty mangled too.Comment
