I still love MKII's even after falling in love with BMW's -
I adore them. It is so much fun to drive even with only 100hp. It weighs absolutely nothing. Then with the H%R suspension it handles like a freaking go cart. I really don't want to see it go but it is making room for a Mk4 GTi with a 24v VR6. We are both going to miss it.Originally posted by SonnyI am a meme for our community.Comment

Bye bye Golf. You have been a great little car. You will be dearly missed. :(
Was bought by Honda pricks. No doubt they will blow the engine or wrap it around a pole. They didn't give a damn about the cool stuff. Only the fact that it was pre wired for an amp. They were raping the poor thing in the parking lot.Originally posted by SonnyI am a meme for our community.Comment

Not that it matters anymore, but in 89 the fusebox switched from CE1 to CE2 (CE =Central Electronic ) In a CE2 a VR6 swap is a simple matter of plugging in the engine harness into the fuebox and installing the motor. Cake. no wiring nightmares to deal with. Even a 1.8T could be converted to CE2 and also be plug and play.... Glad its sold, sucks it sold to Honda kids... oh well.Simon
