I sent him an email saying I ordered the suede set not the "faux" set. After waiting several months to hear back from him, he finally emailed me back saying he doesn't make real suede boots, just fake suede boots. Not sure why he advertises selling suede boots, but I asked him if I could send them back and get a refund. After waiting a month to hear back from him, he finally sent an email saying that was fine. I shipped them back with delivery confirmation. Never heard from him so I emailed him again asking what the deal was. Waited yet again, he finally wrote back acting like he didn't know what was going on. He finally admitted he got them back and said he would send me a refund and asked for my paypal info, sent paypal info, waited some more, never heard from him, emailed him, waited, finally answers my email and wants me to explain what our deal is again, send him an email explaining, waited, get an email from him saying he will send me a refund, wait, wait, wait and wait some more then start the whole cycle over again with him asking what our deal is. Its been back and forth like this with him for over a year and I still don't have a refund or the boots. I have even asked if he could ship the boots back to me so I could try and sell them elsewhere and make some of my money back, but of course I haven't heard back from him. I finally ordered some boots off ebay and the quality us unbelievable and well worth the couple extra bucks.Originally posted by davi techi got tired of waiting and i have ordered a set on ebay. he told me in mid september he would probably send it out soon and would contact me the next day. it never happened and that was the last i heard from him. ive asked for a refund and i dont expect to see the money at all. i ordered my set in june...Comment

Damn, what cute dog! And geez $1200 for one puppy? Sure other dogs are more but very happy to hear this lil guy is going to get the attention he deserves. My yellow lab would've loved this guy. Too bad the pops said no but before my mom said yes haha. Oh well. Hope he does great.'91 318is

I like you Dave and I don't want to start $hit with this, but I'm just questioning out loud the morality of breeding a litter for profit and then unloading an unprofitable dog on a rescue group?
Personally, I adopt animals because there are far too many in this world that need homes. Animal over population is a problem and far too many people take ownership too lightly.
But, if you do breed dogs, don't you bear the risk of not being able to sell them? In other words is it not your responsibility morally to keep any dogs that can't be sold?
I know greyhound breeders often kill dogs that can't race, and the sled dogs are often put down if they can't perform. I have pretty strong opinions about these things, but I'll leave it alone for this thread. Sending a dog that can't sell to the pound is doing the same thing though. That dog will be put down.
Now you got a rescue group to take care of it, you're ultimately off the hook - both financially and the risk that it will be put down. Your exposure to risk in the breeding enterprise becomes nill. My wife's Aunt breeds show dogs and has several that she has had to keep as pets because they didn't meet standards to sell. That's a risk you take, and part of the cost of doing business.
Again, I'm just trying to think about this ethically. Although I am a hunter / carnivore, I am also a devoted animal lover. Those three can co-exist. I also spay or neuter every animal that I adopt/rescue/buy.Comment

Josh, there were some extenuating circumstances with this litter of pups. Too complicated to put in a post but basically this wasn't our litter to profit from. We adopted the parents with the agreement that we sell the pups. If we would have been regular breeders we would have done the "normal" thing and culled it. At least now its going to have a chance to live a life.
He just got picked up about an hour ago and he's going to a loving family that is going to try to get him an operation.Last edited by DeM3n; 02-13-2012, 11:02 PM.Comment
