Yanked the m20 out of my car for the volvo swap, need the money asap so i can order my trans adapter plate.
Its an eta bottom end with about 150k, and an 885 head off a late model ix.
So i did a compression test on sunday night with the motor at full temp before i yanked it out, results were good
125,125,125,130,120,125
which is within 10% of each other, obviously the head swap dropped the compression so the main thing to look for is consistant numbers within 10% of the lowest.
Bought a complete eta motor with about 150k.
Pulled the head and cleaned the deck and scotch brighted the pistons (pictures in my build thread of most of this)
Bought an 885 head off a 90 325i complete with intake, throttle and injectors and all that good stuff.
Had the head pressure tested, found out all exhasut valves could do with a regrind and reseat, had that done, replaced all the valve seals and machined the deck.
Put the whole motor back together using a vr headgasket kit altho i tosted out the vr headgasket and used a goatse headgasket since it was said to be the closest to oem.
Replaced the water pump with a brand new 325i gmb pump and replaced the timing belt and tensioner roller.
Included is the complete motor
All the hoses and sensors on the motor, the alternator and powersteering pump (no hoses or res.)
NO headers or transmission or flywheel/clutch
Im just gonna ask $450, the motor runs great and is in great shape and very clean and doesnt leak a drop of oil and wont need anything done to it except oil changes for quite a while. It would be perfect for boost or throw some pistons in it and bring the compression back up and have a strong na motor.
Price is flexible depending on how quick this thing goes, i really need the money tho...
more pics in my build thread.
pm or text, phone speaker is pretty much fubar so i cant talk on the phone unfortunatly but if you must i might be able to figure something out but pm or text is best. 503 933 7793
