    Need new engine

I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea how much a new original 325ix motor would cost for my buddy, and also where are some good places to check?

IX engine is different. I have a nice one, complete from intake to oil pan. 134k. Ran great. $550

I can provide video of it running if you want

Price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. I repeat: price check on Vagiclean, aisle five. That's Vagiclean. We've got a customer down here with a full-on fallopian fungus. I'm baking a loaf of bread and I think it's sourdough.

No the block for a IX is the same as IS. The only difference is the oil pan. They may or may not have different numbers on the casting but tore down right to teh block they are the same side by side IS and IX.

The way the block bolts up is different as well.

There's no way the factory made different blocks for all these cars. Ever notice holes on the side of M20's that aren't used?

^ position for the dipstick is different. Mounting bosses are different, but I don't know for sure if they are available on the standard M20 block or not. There is a reason that the iX engines are sought after ;)
