Nice! If you don't mind me asking, who painted them for you and what did they charge? I have a set that has been sitting for months I need to get sprayed...

dont flame but I painted them myself haha. I figured they are only skirts and will get hit with all sorts of road debris because I drive my E30 50+ miles a day. I went to Wesco and had them mix the paint to match. I had them fill two rattle cans with the mix. I prepped them myself and sprayed them in the garage. I figured if it didnt work out, I would just get someone to do it again. They came out with a slight orange peel but nothing major. I flexed them all over before installing to check the adhesion. Im pretty happy with it actually. I wouldnt recommend this for big parts but the skirts are easy.
I also didnt use the factory grommets in the rockers as I didnt want to drill and let rust form. I ran 3M trim tape the entire length on the top and used the clips on the pinch seam. The only holes I drilled were in the rear where the plastic rivets go.
Skirts should run you around $400 for both sides from a pro shop. I actually think doing it yourself is far cooler. The orange peel can be wet sanded out, btw. Did you clear or one stage it?
Looks great. My suggestion is to get RD rear. Would line up nicely and look pretty sharp with the front cow catcher.

I agree, it looks great. I am more of a DIY'er myself so I want to go the Wesco route...I have heard mixed prices on each Wesco store and what they charge per can for paint...is the $125 price point accurate?

Uuuuh, either you're going to some insanely overpriced shops or I got really lucky with the guy I found to do mine. He told me $50 to paint both my skirts lol. I ended up having him detexture both valances, paint and install my skirts and Reiger lip, and install my Euro trip all for $400. And no, this isn't some Maaco special bullshit, this guy is a real talent when it comes to body and paintwork.
Sylvestre's Autobody for anyone local that might be interested.

One stage just like the factory Alpine. We'll see how it holds. Im not too concerned about the orange peel because standing next to it, you hardly notice it.

I went to Wesco in Everett. It was $60 for the paint and something like $10 a can. I have the leftover paint in a pop top can for touch up too. I like doing everything myself. I dont own an E30 just to pay others to work on it LOL.
If u guys want paint in rattle cans, let me know. I get them pretty cheap around my area. I've bought an Alpine White II, Schwarz and Sterling Silver with them and they all match in color. $30 per can and I believe $15 for the clear if I remember right and 10 for the primer. Ground shipping only for these cans. Let me know if I can help you guys out. When I did IS side skirts group buy, there were some people who wanted the spray can shipped to them as well which I did.

I was thinking for picking up a few cans to paint my lip. But was wondering if you used the paint code for alpine or did they actually match the paint on your car. I know home depot and such does this for house paint but never heard of it in auto paint.
/\ there's a reason why there is a paint code obviously,
to match your car's paint.

Skirts look great though.
Well its subjective LOL. It matches great actually but its noticable on the bottom a bit. The factory Alpine paint on the bottom of my car is a bit stained from years of road crud as I'm sure most white cars get. I need to do some cleaning with a clay bar or something and it will come back to OEM color. I held the skirts up to the hood, fender tops, and roof and its a dead match.
