    exhaust piping

anyone know of a good place in the seattle area where I can buy exhaust piping? things like 5ft 3" diameter straight pipes, u bends, s bends, etc, etc. ANything i find online is either mandrel bent (which will greatly hurt flow for turbo) or they are $275+ in price.

I dont need all of the piping that comes in the kit. Simply just enough to go from an 18" y collector to the muffler.

    much appreciated.

You've got that backwards. You want mandrel bent tubing.

Jegs and Summit will have the best pricing.

Yes you do want mandrel bent pipe, as far as local places I use Stans Headers in Auburn. Good price and they do awesome work.

I assume they would sell you just the pipe, and they do have 3" in stock as that is what I had them put on my car.

Definitely not local, but I ordered all my stainless turbo piping from acestainless.com. Quick shipping.

I'll also support Stan's. I had them weld me up a catback for my trans am about 7 years ago. Ultra nice guys.

I have 2 4ft sections of straight tubing and 1 u-bend left over from when I did my exhaust. Surprisingly this might be enough to do your system. I'm up in Bellingham/Anacortes for the week but I'll be down in the Kirkland area this weekend if your want to meet up.

Pm me if you are interested and we can work something out.

Columbia River Mandrel Bends is much closer to Portland than Seattle but they offer affordable shipping and have just about anything you'll need. Way more selection than Jeg's or any of the other big guys. That's where I got my tubing.

i thought mandrel bends pinched the pipe at the bend and restricted air flow. Something you do not want when running turbo.

I don't have a really good shot but here is this. They built a y-pipe that came off the headers of the M52 and went right into a single 3" all the way back.

looks great. so, just for clarification. having pipes that are mandrel bent are fine to use for a turbo setup? i was always under the impression from what other peopel were saying, was that you didnt want mandrel because it pinched the pipe at the bend causing problems with air flow.

That's the opposite...non mandrel bent piping causes a restriction mandrel bent keeps it the same diameter all the way through
